The laborers la-borers contend they should receive a wage in proportion to that received by the car- '. penters. B. F. Baum, superintendent of the construction work for James Stewart & Co., declared la st night that he was paying the men more tha n he ever did before and that when he employed them lest Friday he told them expressly that they were not to expect any increase in wages. The la borers will meet at the T.Abor temple this morning at 8 o'clock to discuss dis-cuss the matter. |
