Show NOTICE. Notice f a special election upon the question of incurring bonded indebtedness for S?dt Lake City. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners Commission-ers of Salt Lake City. I'tah, by an ordinance ordi-nance duly passed bv said Board of Commissioners Com-missioners the -'4th day of May. 1917, did order a special election to be held in said Salt Lake City on Tuesiey. the 2Sth day of June. 1917, for the purpose of submitting submit-ting to such Qualified electors of said city as shall have paid a property tax in said Cty m the year 191$, the questions of Incurring In-curring a bonded indebtedness in the sum of ?2-:i.S.t,".nVjri for paving of drives in the City Cemetery and Liberty Park, and the Cit ;.'s portion of sidewalks and street paving; ?7S,.?m;Mn) for City's portion of curbing, guttering and grading of streets; for the const ruction of storm sewers; $75,000.00 for the purchase of new -t park sites and the Improvement of the same, and the improvement of a paik at the Warm Springs Bath House: SlM.Ooo.'-tf' for the construction of bridges; Si 0".000.t" for the construction and furnishing of a municipal bath house; $77,000. r.0 for the purpose -of completing the Main Trunk Sewer discharge outlet; ?443.5Of!00 for the purpose of increasing, improving and enlarging, en-larging, the present waterworks system, the purchase of water meters, the purchase pur-chase of land and the construction of shops for the Waterworks Department; and $35.000.00 for the purpose of extending, extend-ing, improving, increasing and adding to the water supply of the City; and WHEREAS, Said ordinance directed the Mayor and City Recorder to make a proclamation of said special election by publishing notice thereof in four daily newspapers published in Salt like City, for four weeks prior to the day of said election ; NOW. THEREFORE. Pursuant to the terms and conditions of said ordinance, and under and pursuant to Section 3t3 of the Compiled Laws of I'tah, 1907, as amended by Chapter 4 of the Laws of t'tah, 1911, Section 309 of said Compiled Laws as amended by Chapter 3 of tie . Laws of Utah, 1909. and Section 310 of said Compiled Laws, notice is hereby given and proclamation is hereby made that on Tuesday, the 25th day of June, 1917, in Salt Lake City, rtah. a special election will be held for the purpose of submitting to the vote of such qualified electors of said City as shall have paid a property tax in said City in the year 1916, the following questions; 1. The question of Incurring a bonded indebtedness in the sum of Jj.'iS.OOO.OO for the purpose of defraying the City's portion of the expense of the improvement of the public streets and sidewalks of Salt Lake City, and to defray the expense of paving the drives of the City Cemetery and Liberty Lib-erty Park. 2. The question of Incurring a bonded Indebtedness in the sum of 57S.500.00 for the purpose of defraying the City's portion por-tion of the expense of the improvement of the public streets of Salt Lake City. 3. The question of incurring a bonded Indebtedness in the sum of $.5,000.00 for the purpose of defraying the expense of Increasing, extending and Improving the park system of said City. It 4. The question of incurring bonded ln- debtedness in the sum of J24.0u0.00 for the purpose of defraying the expense of construction of bridges. 5. The question of incurring a bonded indebtedness in the sum of $100,000.00 for the purpose of defraying the expense of building a municipal bath house. C. The question of incurring a bonded indebtedness in the sum of $99,000.00 for the purpose of defraying the City's Portion Por-tion of the expense of increasing. Improving, Improv-ing, extending and adding to the present drainage system of said city. 7. The question of incurring a bonded Indebtedness in the sum of $77,000.00 for the purpose of defraying the expense of improving, extending and adding to the present sewer system of said city, ( ?. The question of incurring a bonded Indebtedness In the sum of ? 1-13.500.00 for the purpose of defraying the expense of Increasing, improving, extending, enlarging, enlarg-ing, perfecting and adding to the present waterworks system of said city. 9. The question of incurring a bonded Indebtedness in the sum of 355.000.00 for the purpose of defraying the expense of increasing. Improving, enlarging, extending, extend-ing, perfecting and adding to the present water supply of said city. Said improved, additional and new water system and water supply, and said impioved, additional and new sewerage svstem shall be owned and controlled by Salt Lake City. Said bonds shall bar interest at a rate not to exceed four and one-half per cent per annum, which Interest shall be payable pay-able semi-annually. Said bonds shall be of serial form and of such denominations as the Board of Commissioners shall here-' here-' after determine, and shall become due and pavable as follows: One-twentieth of the amount thereof one year after the date of issuance, and one-1 went ieth of the amount thereof each .and every year thereafter there-after to and including the twentieth year aftfcr date of Issuance. Snid election shall be conducted according accord-ing to the laws and statutes of the State of' Utah, and shall be held in manner and form as provided thereby. Dated this 25th day of May. 1917. 4 W.
