Colonel Hasbrouck of the Twentieth ! infantry brought with him a fine-look- ing Jot of stalwart young Americans when he brought the regiment back fj from the Mexican border, and in the Jj course of a few weeks three full regi- ments of soldiers will be ready for jjj training for service on the battlefields of FTanee and Belgium. Then other reg- i iments will be formed at Fort Doug- J las, composed of similar high-class ma- terial. One week from tomorrow the f young men of Utah, hetween the ages f; of 21 and will register under the h selective draft law, and shortly there- j after some thousands of them will be j called to the colors and sent to the J training camps to prepare for active jj participation in the world war. Then y, the National Guard, composed of the j; First cavalry, the machine gun troop, t the battery, the hospital corps, and such 0 other units as may be organized, w-ill g be called into the federal service to jj perform such duties as fall to the lot jj of men who respond to their country's a calt. Utah will be well represented 3 when the various armies are gathered d together, and we have every confidence ji in the world that all the youths who go i forth to battle from this state and S all the regulars now at Fort Douglas will jj acquit themselves like men when the supreme test comes.
