Show This Week's RECIPE . . . Salad time is approaching once again, and the basis of every good salad is a tasty salad dressing. The recipe for Piquant Salad Dressing has been submitted this week by Mrs. Burr Eldredge, who states that the dressing is delicious deli-cious for any Spring salad, or any salad with a lettuce or vegetable base. PIQUANT SALAD DRESSING (makes 1 pint) 1-3 to y2 CUP sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp mustard (prepared or dry) 1 tsp. paprika 14 tsp. celery salt 1-3 cup catsup 4 cup vinegar Juice of 1 lemon (4 tbs.) 10 drops of tobasco sauce i4 cup grated onion cup salad oil Blend dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients. Beat thoroughly (electric mixer may be used). Chill. Shake well before serving. |
