Show Reception Held For Justwcds At Ballard Ward Chapel On Thursday, June 2 Mr. and Mrs. DeLor L. Max-field, Max-field, newlyweds, were complimented compli-mented last Thursday evening, June 2, at a wedding reception and dance at the Ballard ward chapel. Wedding vows were exchanged by the popular young couple June 1 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, with President EIRay Christiansen officiating. A dinner for the bridal party was held at the Temple Square Hotel, following the ceremony, cere-mony, with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Clements of Louisville, Idaho, as hosts for the occasion. Accompanying Accom-panying the couple through the Temple were their parents and other close relatives. The radiant bride greeted guests at the reception in her wedding gown of nylon Chantilly lace with white satin underskirt. The ballerina bal-lerina length gown was designed with a tight fitting bodice, buttoning but-toning down the front with tiny satin covered buttons and having a Peter Pan collar at the neckline. The long sleeves tapered to points at the wrist and the skirt was a full bouffant style. Her veil of bride's illusion cascaded from a tiara of seed pearls and her bouquet bou-quet was of pink carnation and red roses. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Miss Diane Hullinger, who wore a princess style ballerina length dress of dark grey with yellow floral design. de-sign. Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Hullinger, attired in blue faille, and Miss Carolee Maxfield, who wore a red faille of correspond-, ing princess style. All had gardenia gar-denia corsages. Little LaConna Hullinger was the flower girl and wore a fluffy pale pink nylon dress. Mother of the bride chose a pink afternoon cotton faille, while the groom's mother wore a pale blue drop waist faille frock. Both accented their costumes with white carnation carna-tion corsages. Assuming best man duties for the groom was Claude Murray of Altonah. Centering the reception table was a three-tier square wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom, with steps leading lead-ing from the bottom to the top of the cake. Delicate pink and white roses decorated the cake. In charge of serving were Mrs. Cecil Jenkins, Mrs. Russel Todd, Mrs. Marvin Kettle and Mrs. Al-den Al-den White, assisted by Patsy Hullinger, Hul-linger, JoAnn Burgess, Kay Stanley, Stan-ley, Celia Kay Jenkins and Lorraine Lor-raine Kettle. Gift room arrangements were under the direction of Miss Myrtle Myr-tle Collins, assisted by Mrs. Golden Gol-den Collins. Guest book signing was in charge of Mrs. Earl Mc Kenna. Taking the gifts at the door were Geddes and Vicky Hullinger Hul-linger and Cheryl MacLean. The following program was presented pre-sented during the evening, with Cecil Jenkins as master of ceremonies: cere-monies: vocal solo, Mrs. Ernest Betts, Jr., accompanied by Miss Patricia Gines; vocal duet, Ned and Allen Gines, accompanied by Miss Gines; reading, Mrs. Bill Parrish; vocal solo, Mrs. Sheldon Fitzgerald, accompanied by Tal's orchestra; trumpet solo, Neill Jensen; Jen-sen; vocal solo, Clark Oarum, accompanied ac-companied by Marta Morrill; vocal vo-cal duet, Mrs. McKenna and Miss Janet Stevens, accompanied by Miss Marilyn Anderson. For her going-away ensemble the new bride wore a pink and black summer print, with pink accessories. accessor-ies. The newlyweds are making their home at 666 South 2nd East, Salt Lake City, where Mr. Maxfield is employed at Safeway Stores. He will attend the University of Utah next fall. Prior to working at Safeway Stores, he served two years in the U. S. Air Force. He is a graduate of Altamont High School. The new Mrs. Maxfield graduated gradu-ated from Union High School with the class of '52 and attended the USAC at Logan one year. Since then she was employed at the local lo-cal Commercial Bank of Utah for two years, and has also worked in Idaho. Among pre-nuptial events honoring hon-oring the bride-elect was a kitchen kitch-en shower, given May 23 by Miss Myrtle Collins and Mrs. Thomas Jeppson at the Collins' home. Guests included MIA associates of the bride, who spent the evening making a bride's book. Lovely re- . freshments were served. |
