Show Randletl Viola Jensen Richfield Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Curtis and son, Timmy, of Richfield, were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wall. Mrs, Curtis is the sister of Mrs. Wall. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. LaFrance were visitors Tuesday at the J. E. Jensen home. BOY BREAKS FOOT Little Joe Turner had the misfortune mis-fortune of breaking his foot the fore part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Wall and family were visitors Saturday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wall. The Wall families fam-ilies traveled to Dry Fork May 28 to attend a surprise party for Mrs. Henry Wall's father, Daniel Adams. The occasion was Mr, Adams' birthday. . WORK ON AVALON WARD A group of men from the ward worked on the Avalon chapel, sanding and varnishing the floor so new seats could be put in. Mrs. Marion Shelton and son, Duane, spent Thursday visiting her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Knight, of Vernal, and Mrs. Vera Westover of Montello, Nevada, spent Wednesday Wed-nesday evening visiting at the J. E. Jensen home. Mrs. Westover is a sister-in-law of Mrs. Jensen, The Young Ladies and Young Men's MIA Softball teams practiced prac-ticed Thursday afternoon. BAPTISMAL EXCURSION A group of sixteen young people peo-ple from the MIA attended a Baptismal Excursion at the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City. MIA officers taking the young people were: Jean Stoddard, Ray Wardle and Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon J. I Lewis. I Mr. and Mrs. Blake Peay, Jr. and family went to Provo Saturday Satur-day evening. . Chree Brough and Sybile Turner Tur-ner were graduated from the Primary Pri-mary and welcomed into the Young Ladies Mutual, Sunday at Sacrament meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Abe Hatch and daughters, Carolyn and Betty, of Willow Creek branch, attended Sunday School and Sacrament meeting at the Avalon ward. ALTAMONT WINS The Avalon MIA baseball team traveled to Altamont for a game, Saturday afternoon. Altamont won by a 5 to 2 score. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wall and family moved to Craig, Colorado, where Mr. Wall is employed. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Jorgensen and family moved to Idaho, Friday. Fri-day. Mrs. Vera Westover and son, Ronald, and daughter, Elsie, of Montello, Nevada, were weekend guests at the J. E. Jensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lewis and family also were Sunday visitors of the Jensens. Mrs, Pearl Jenkins, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, was a weekend visitor at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jennie McMullen. SUNDAY SCHOOL PRESENTS PROGRAM The Sunday School presented the following program in the Sunday Sun-day evening services: Supt. Dray-den Dray-den Foster conducted; invocation, by Fahy Durfee; Jennie McMullen gave a talk on George Q. Cannon and Henry Wall spoke on Joseph F. Smith; Alice Wall talked on George Piper; Ethel Durfee, on Pres. David O. McKay; Oliver Jorgensen, on Milton Bennion, and Mariner McMullen, on George Richard Hill. Closing song was "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go Dear Lord." Benediction was by Drayden Foster. Kathy Gould, of Ogden, is visiting visit-ing at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Lula Dudley. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marshall and family are visiting in Salt Lake City. |
