Show M0NT17ELL Bettie Mower PINK AND BLUE SHOWER A pink and blue shower was held in honor of Mrs. Ha Larsen last week. Hostesses were Mrs. James E. Hamblin and Mrs. Jean Hamblin. a good crowd was out and everyone had a very good time. The guest received many beautiful and useful presents. Refreshments Re-freshments were served. PRIMARY PARTY On Wednesday, a Primary welcome wel-come home party was held at the chapel for the children ..who have been going to Primary at Neola, but are home for the summer. The program consisted of the boys and girls giving readings, songs, or dancing. Cookies and punch were served. TED NELSON IS B.Y.U. GRADUATE We congratulate Teddy Max Nelson as a graduate of the 1955 BYU graduating services at the BYU on Friday, June 3rd. Ted's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Nelson Nel-son and sister, Mrs. A. D. Shaw and family, and James Hamblin, a close friend, were in attendance at the program. Ted will be at home this summer to help his father on the farm. The Sunday School, under the direction of Douglas Brown, gave the program Sunday night. The speakers were Dan Pace, Laura Thompson, Ina Lee Shaw, Phoebe Parry, Minnie Crapo and Hazel Brown, who all spoke on leaders of the church and Sunday School. George Hut came from Parker, Arizona this week to visit his family, friends and relatives for a few days before returning to Parker, where he is employed. His son, Don, and Duane Hamblin accompanied him back to stay for 2 or 3 weeks. Babies blessed in Sacrament meeting Sunday afternoon were: the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Blanchard, Jr., who was blessed by her father and given the name of Karen Ann; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Draper, who was blessed by James E. Hamblin and given the name of Lana Kae; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Anderton, blessed by her great- grandfather, Duane Shaul and given the name of Susan. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Anderton were visiting in Montwel at the homes of Mr, and Mrs. Gail Lor-anger Lor-anger and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Anderton An-derton over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Shalu, of Colorado, were visiting at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Gail Loranger, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Loranger left Sunday for Battle Mountain, Nevada, to visit their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Loranger. Lor-anger. Mrs. Elmer Smith, of Salt Lake, a daughter, accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Al Kramer and family have been visiting at the Reed Anderton home. They and Mr. and Mrs. Roe McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Anderton and Mrs. Bonnie Shepherd, with their families, were guests at Sunday dinner at the Reed Anderton home. Mrs. Reed Anderton r eports that Donald has finished his GI schooling in Denver and has been made station agent at Rock Springs, Wyoming, for the Frontier Fron-tier Airlines. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Anderton, of Tridell, were visitors at the Reed Anderton home on Sunday. Reed Anderton recently attended attend-ed a clinic in Salt Lake City, but is home again. The Relief Society was in charge of the building budget party par-ty that was held here Wednesday evening. The program consisted of songs, band music, jokes and skits. Refreshments were sold. Dick Mower went to Ogden with his brother, Lynn, and family fam-ily for a short visit. Carl Mower was the honored guest at his 8th birthday party, held at his home Sunday afternoon. after-noon. A group of friends came and played and had a candy pull. Cookies and punch were served as refreshments. Mrs. Morley Hamblin, Kay, Mary Dale and Patty made a trip to visit relatives in Idaho, Logan and Salt Lake the past weekend. On the way home they brought Kay's things home from Logan, where he had been attending the USAC. Miss Roselie Brown is visiting in Logan this week with Mrs. Fred Brown, while Fred is at Camp Williams, training in the National Guard. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown visited at the Rulon Anderton home in Roosevelt, Sunday afternoon. Visitors at the Ray Brown home this week were Mr. and Mrs. Levi Anderton and son, Danny, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, Mr. and Mrs, E. A. Call and family, of Bridgeland and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Jessen, of Alton-ah. Alton-ah. Mr. and Mrs. James L. Powell spent Memorial Day in Altonah. Miss Sandra Powell accompanied accompan-ied Bettie Mower back from Logan Log-an to visit. From here they are going to Salt Lake to seek employment em-ployment for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson went to Bluebell on Memorial Day. , |
