Indian Extension Agent Ag-ent the annual meeting of the Ouray Indian Cattle Association was held in the Community hall at Ouray on Friday. Mr. Ouray McCook was elected president of the association; John Crow-, tuck vice president, and Milton Jenkins, secretary and treasurer. The decision for jurisdiction of winter grazing lands in the Utc Extension area, reached by the solicitor of the Indian Departr ment of the Department of Interior Inter-ior at Washington, D. C, was explained by Paul Kraus, range supervisor. The members of the Indian Women's club of Ouray, had papered, cleaned and redecorated redecorat-ed the Community house preparatory pre-paratory to serving a banquet, under the direction of Mrs. Mildred Mil-dred Dillman, to the 148 persons attending the association meeting. meet-ing. Superintendent Stone made an official trip to the Kaibab Indian Reservation last weekend. Mrs. Stone accompanied him. Enroute they visited their daughter, Dorothy, Dor-othy, who is attending the Wasatch Was-atch Academy at Mount Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Gutz-man Gutz-man spent Friday and Saturday in Salt Lake City. The infant son of Esther Myori died last Tuesday morning at Ouray. Funeral services were held the following day. In the Moffitt ward, Tuesday, Miss Martel Rushton was chosen queen of the M.I. A. Gold and Green ball to be held March 8th. A floor show will be featured at the ball. Saturday, twenty-eight young people of the Moffitt ward gave the Moffitt chapel a thorough cleaning. They were rewarded with a dinner prepared by the Relief Society members. |
