Show FUNERALS PARLEY NEWELL KNIGHT Funeral services for Parley (Pete) Newell Knight, 39, of Upalco, will be conducted Friday at 12 noon in the Upalco LDS chapel, under the direction of Bishop Hugo K. Mitchell. Mr. Knight died Sunday at 4 p. m. enroute to the Roosevelt hospital, following a lingering illness. Born at Lakefork, Utah, Aug. 16, 1907, a son of Newell and Lazetla Liddle Knight, he had spent his adult life as a a farmer and oil worker in the Uintah Basin. An active member of the LDS church, he was married to Adeline Knight, November 15. 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Survivors include his widow, a son, Neal. and a daughter, Connie, of Upalco, and the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters: Earl Knight, of Bennett; Arthur Knight, of Upalco; Mrs. Rhoda Merrell, of Vernal; Mrs. Sylvia Merriweather, of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Margarite Mitchell, of Upalco, and Mrs. Revilla Angus, of Draper. Burial will be in the Upalco cemetery under the direction of the Dillman Funeral Home. JOHN M. KNIGHT Funeral services for John M. Knight, former state senator and a patriarch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was held in the Granite stake tabernacle, February 26. Mr. Knight, , who died of a heart ailment last Saturdav, was a well known figure in the Uintah Uin-tah Basin, having been a frequent fre-quent visitor here at the home of his brother, Roy Knight. |
