Show Myton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Members of the Friday Bridge club were guests of Mrs. James Dalgleish Friday afternoon. Present Pres-ent were Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. Wm. Preece, Mrs. Wm. Koehler, Miss Alice Todd, Miss Anna Hunt and Mrs. Floyd Lamb. Winner of high score was Miss Hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dennis are rejoicing over the arrival of a son, born Feb. 17th at the Roosevelt hospital. This is the second son in the family. Lyle Gingell spent the week-i end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell, returning to Price Sunday evening to resume his studies at the Price Junior college. Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray and small son left Friday for Twin Falls, Idaho, where Mr. Murray will transact business for the Globe Seed and Feed Co. Mrs. Wm. Linck took her young daughter, Margo, to Salt Lake City, Friday, to receive medical attention. They returned home Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis ; enjoyed a weekend visit from their son, Dan Dennis, who is attending at-tending the USAC at Logan. Lowell Babcock was a weekend week-end visitor at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Babcock, coming from Logan, where he is a student at the USAC. 1 Mrs. Amanda Parker and son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Brian, attended the funeral of Frank Pope, Mrs. Parker's brother-in-law, at Vernal, Ver-nal, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. James Allrcd, who made their home in Duchesne Du-chesne while Mr. Allred edited the Uintah Basin Record, visited in Myton, Thursday, en route to their new home in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Krissman, of Helper, spent Sunday visiting with relatives and friends in Myton. Calvin Monks has been seriously serious-ly ill during the past week, but is now recovering nicely. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Adams, of Roosevelt, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Dalglesih, Sunday Sun-day evening. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Burton left Monday for Weatherly, Miss, where they will visit at the home of Mr. Burton's brother, H. B. Burton. They will also visit in Denver, Colorado and Kansas City while en route. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Savage moved to Ft. Duchesne, Monday, where Mr. Savage will be employed em-ployed in the Indian Irrigation service. The basketball , teams of the 7th and 8th grades enjoyed a friendly game Monday afternoon with the teams of the Duchesne school. The final scores were 29 to 13 in favor of the Myton 8th grade, while the Duchesne 7th grade won 17 to 15. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Partridge made a business trip to Duchesne Monday evening and visited relatives rel-atives while there. Marion Mott, who has been suffering with a severe case of "flu," is now getting along nicely. nice-ly. Mrs. J. D. Rogers received the sad news, Monday, that her brother, John Buchanan, had died suddenly Sunday evening at his home In Los Angeles, California. Cal-ifornia. Bert Coleman, of Hebcr, is attending at-tending to his interests in this district. His sheep camps are stationed sta-tioned on their winter range, south of Myton. |
