Show SOCIETY ! FT. DUCHESNE WOMEN'S CLUB The members of the Fort Duchesne Du-chesne Women's club entertained entertain-ed their husbands with a banquet ban-quet at the Roosevelt hotel Thursday evening, Feb. 20. The banquet tables were artistically ar-tistically decorated following a patriotic motif with floral centerpieces cen-terpieces of red, white and blue carnations gracing each table. Red, white and blue tapers in, silver candelabra lighted the scene. Places were laid for forty-five members and guests. SURPRISE PARTY Jay Gardner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gardner, was pleasantly pleas-antly surprised with a party on his birthday anniversary, Saturday. Satur-day. Feb. 22. A beautifully dec orated pink and white birthday cake with nine pink candles and the inscription "Happy Birthday to Jay" formed the focal point of the table decorations. Small guests included Douglas Wyler, Kenneth Squire, Gwen Galloway, Maura Hurley, Gary and Danny Gardner, Joyce, Judy, Dee, Billy and Garth Hall, Gloria, Glor-ia, Carol Neala, and Elynn Schaefermeyer, Janctte. Barbara, Marjorie, Dwayne, Wayne and Mervin Wolfe, and Jay's brothers and sisters, Susan, Dawn and Kenton. Assisting Mrs. Gardner were Mrs. Roy Hall, Mrs. Fred Wolfe and Mrs. Harold Gardner. ALTRUS Mrs. Wm. H. Ruppel and Mrs. Homer P. Edwards were co-hostesses co-hostesses to Altrus club -at the Edwards' residence last Thurs- day evening. Mrs. Lynn Nickell j gave an interesting review of i the book, "No Time For Tears." Nixon, Mrs. Eldred Allred, Mrs. Earl Dillman and Mrs. George Stewart. FRIDAY BRIDGE Mrs. Vean Bair was hostess to members and guests of the Friday Bridge club at her home on Feb. 21. A tempting salad course supper was served with places marked for Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mrs. Sam Weiss, Mrs. j Bennie Schmiett, Mrs. C. L. Ash-ton, Ash-ton, Mrs. John Bourne, Mrs. Rob ert Huish, Mrs. Howard Harrison. Harri-son. Mrs. Les Mullins, Mrs. W. H. Ruppel, Mrs. Ann Warnock, Mrs. Gordon Harmston and Mrs. Louis Corbridge. Following supper three tables were ' arranged for bridge with prizes going to Mrs. Mullins, Mrs. Harmston, Mrs. Harrison, Mrs. Ashton and Mrs. Bourne. JUST-A-MERE Wednesday evening Just-A-Mere club was delightfully entertained en-tertained at the home of Mrs. Darrell Walker. Light refreshments refresh-ments were served, after which tables were arranged for bridge. Guests 'present included Mrs. Richard Adams, Mrs. Dan. Allen, Mrs. Tom White, Mrs. Eddie Labrum, Mrs. Harry Owen, Mrs. Edgar Jensen, Mrs. Farrell Wilkins, Wil-kins, Mrs. Clair Larsen, Mrs. Rose Walker, Mrs. Rube Larsen, and Mrs. Grant Killian. Prizes were won by Mrs. Farrell Far-rell Wilkins, Mrs. Dan Allen, Mrs. Rose Walker and Mrs. Harry Har-ry Owen. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING " CLUB Mrs. Guy Burton was hostess to members and guests of the Neighborhood Sewing club Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, Feb. 19, at Ijer home. A dessert luncheon was served to Mrs. Louis Laris, Mrs. J. S. Rawlings, Mrs. Harold Gardner, Mrs. Floyd Labrum, Mrs. Art Allen and Mrs. Llew elyn Jenkins. THOUGHT AND THIMBLE A delightful dessert luncheon was featured Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Jack Glcaton for members of the Thought and Thimble club. Those present were Mrs. Wilford Granger, Mrs. Ted Jensen. Mrs. Arthur Allen, Mrs. Harold Dillman, Mrs. Bert Angus, Mrs. Jack Redmond, Mrs.' Farrell Wilkins, Mrs. Joe Snyder, Mrs. Raymond Wis-, combe and Mrs. Olen Ferryman. BRIDGETTE Thursday evening the members mem-bers of Bridgette club were delightfully de-lightfully entertained at the home of Mrs. Bill Murdock. A delicious dessert luncheon was served with places marked for Mrs. Mont Killian, Mrs. Jack Mohlman, Mrs. Marvell Nielson, Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Clem Labrum, Mrs. Johnie Cook, Mrs. Orson Stevens, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Miss Karma Dee Harmston, Harm-ston, Mrs. Steve Bellon.
