Show Total Utah Trout Plant Reported I Utah planted a total of 29,-' 617,850 trout of all sizes during the two year period ending June 30, 1946, with the Springville hatchery leading all others in total output, the biennial report to the state legislature reveals. The Springville plant had an output of 5,571,836 trout of all sizes. It also led the other hatcheries hatch-eries in output of legal sized, with 506,236 trout seven inches or larger being planted. The Panguitch hatchery planted plant-ed the most trout between two and six inches, turning out 2,-455,922 2,-455,922 fish in this category. Second place in output went to the Kamas hatchery with 5,-086,136 5,-086,136 trout going into lakes and streams from that plant, while Midway ranked third witU 3,578,090. The Whiterocks hatchery drew sixth place in the total number of trout produced for Utah's fishing waters with a figure of 2,625,393. |
