Show Mt. Home Miss Margie Nyberg On February 11 Mrs. Eva Fiet-kau Fiet-kau honored her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Johnny Richards, with a shower. Mrs. Richards, the former for-mer Miss Vera Rogers, of Mt. Emmons, received many useful and beautiful gifts. The Young couple have purchased the Dell Anderson place where they will make their home. A large crowd of young folks attended the basketball game at Tabiona on Friday, Feb. 14. They also enjoyed a dance after the game. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Taylor, are the proud parents of a baby boy, born at the Roosevelt hos- pital on February 14. Mother i and baby are doing nicely. Clifford Stevenson, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd West, Delbcrt Black, Mrs. Norcen Mitchell, and son, Gary, Gcd Lindsey and Ron Farnsworth were in Roosevelt on business last week. Mountain Home and Talmage held their Gold and Green Ball conjointly at the Talmage Ward hall on Feb. 13. Iris Lou Mc Conkic was crowned queen from Mountain Home, and Gcniel Davies queen from Talmage. Guy Lindsey and Orr Davies were the princes. A feature of the evening was the excellent floor show during intermission. Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Nyberg and daughters, Helcne and Margie, Mar-gie, were in Roosevelt to consult con-sult a physician. Mrs. Dcloy Stewart and baby girl returned home from the Roosevelt hospital on Feb. 8. Glen Van Tassel is busy hauling haul-ing hay from the lower country. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Mcrri-weather, Mcrri-weather, of Salt Lake City, are visiting Mrs. Merriweather's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Rue. Miles. The Montain Home Sunday school was reorganized on Feb 9. Mr. Charles Fietkau arid his counselors were released after nine vears of fnifhfni cn; I Mr. Fred Lindsey was set apart as the new superintendent, with Reed Lyons and Deloy Stewart as counselors. Mrs. Silas Morrell left for Salt Lake on Feb. 18 to consult a physician. A farewell party was held at the Ged Lindsay residence on Feb. 16 for Mr. and Mrs. Dell Anderson. Miss Joyce Anderson was a weekend guest of Mrs. Merrlyn Berrett, of Bluebell. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jessen arc the proud parents of a baby boy, born in the Roosevelt hospital on Sunday, Feb. 16th. A surprise party was held for Dale Anderson at his home Monday Mon-day night, Feb. 17. Those present pres-ent were Lauana Morrell. Lois I Bleazard, Leona and Dan Stevenson, Steven-son, Maurine Miles, Connie Lyons, Ly-ons, Joan Carlile, Helen Nyberg, LaRue Rowley, Colleen Taylor, Barbara Farnsworth, Veloy Rust, Billy Richards, Preston Taylor and Host Dale. The evening was spent in playing games. Delicious refreshments were served. Miss Lois Bleazard was a guest at the home of Miss Luana Morrell Mor-rell on February 19. Mrs. Grant Stevenson went to Heber, Friday, Feb. 14, and returned re-turned home Sunday. Doug Lindsey, state game warden, war-den, returned to Mt. Home Monday, Mon-day, from over across Green River, where he has been helping catch antelope to transplant in other parts of the state. Their job is not yet complete because of I an accident to their airplane. |
