Show j CSU Coeds Receive Grants to j Study in Germany Two College of Southern Utah coeds have received j grants to spend 16 weeks In Germany to study the language lang-uage and tour the country. Gloria McKay, Sioux Falls, S. D., and Solyeig Brandt, Sandy, were selected by the National Carl Schurz Association and United States Pffice of Educa- 1 tion for the opportunity. Dec. 4. They will spend the fjrst eight weeks taking classes in German and related courses. Following a two-week study tour, they will return to Stuttgard to observe In German Ger-man high schools. They will live with German families during their stay. Miss McKay is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice McKay, Jr., Sioux Falls. She is a member mem-ber of the CSU Drama Club and Latter-day Saints Student Association. She has attended Ricks College In Rexburg, Idaho for two years before transferring to CSU, where she is majoring in German. piHiiiippiii Miss Brandt Is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Gordon, Sandy. She is a dormitory assistant as-sistant at CSU and was chairman chair-man of the Associated Women Students Fashion Show.
