Show Zion Park Travel For May Increases 24 Travel to Zion National Park during May totaled 80,600 visitors or an increase of 247c compared to May, 1967. Part of this increase is due to 8,400 people counted using the new Kolob Canyons road which was not open last year. Travel for the year to date now totals 177,300 or a gain of 14. Mild weather saw 18,100 campers using the Park campgrounds during the month or a gain of 12. Campground use for the year to date totals 27,300 or a gain of 15. The Emerald Pool trail will be closed for a few weeks while construction of a new surface is being completed. All other Park trails are open. |
