Show Scouts of Second Ward Travel To Flagstaff, Ariz. A large group of Boy Scouts, members of Troop 349, Second ' Ward, made a two day trek to ; Flagstaff, Ariz, last week to j visit the Lowell Observatory ' in that city. The itinerary of ! the trip was arranged for the ,; scouts by their scoutmaster, 1 Arthur Dowd. ";i Arrangements for their vis- . it to the observatory and over- !" night lodging at a recreation ' facility in Flagstaff, was part I of the arrangements. Then on ' their way home they visited ' the south rim of Grand Canyon Can-yon then went around and up to Pipe Spring National Mon-' ument, Jacob's Lake and the north rim of Grand Canyon, . for a very long day. In addition to Scoutmaster ' Dowd, the boys were accompanied accom-panied by Ray Adams, of the ! district committee, his son Tom and Joe Ridley, to fur- 1 nish transportation. Making the trip were the following ' boys: Brad Jones, Kenny Adams, ' Rich Dalton, Russell Dalton. f Mike Dalton, Kerry Benson, Steve Marsden, Ronald Mars- den, Norman Rowley, Allen " Dowd, Miles Robinson, Eric ; Bayles and Doug and Donnie ' Winn. i |
