County Record in a 6 to 5 battle. Cedar Crest broke a 5-5 , deadlock in the seventh with a single and two errors accounting ac-counting for the winning run. Kevin Hunter picked up the mound victory. The loss was suffered by Steve Rollo. Paul Wyaskett tripled for Record and Hunter doubled for Cedar Crest for the only extra base hits. His biggest victory came Tuesday night when Ron's defeated Lockhart 2 to 1 in a pitching battle with Wayne Esplin of Lockhart. Lockhart scored first in the first inning of play when an error and a single accounted for their only run. In the third frame Ron's tied the score on two singles with the run scoring on a 'passed ball and Frank Adams trippled behind a walk in the sixth to score the only other run of the game. Monday evening it was Cedar; Ce-dar; Crest outlasting Iron Lpckhart earlier in the action ac-tion defeated Record 13 to 6 with Esplin picking up the win, and Hatch collected one of his two victories of the week with a 6 to 5 win over Cedar Crest. Ron's pushed in five runs on two hits in the third then added the winning Tun in the fifth frame on three hits. Lyle Heyborne and Lane Spevak shared mound duties for the losers. Robert Hulet doubled for Cedar Crest for the only extra base hit of the contest. |
