A shower for the bride was given at the honw of Mrs. Vein Kupfer In Cedar City by Miss Marilyn Peterson, Miss Kay Wahlquist, Mrs. Reed Robinson, and Mrs. Keith R. Hafen. And following the wedding, j the newlyweds were honored at a wadding breakfast at the Homespun at Leeds which was hosted by Dr. and Mrs. L, Veil Broadbent. The newlyweds took a short honeymoon trip through Zion Canyon and Northern Utah. The bride Is a graduate of Cedar High School and Is a student at CSU. She ls active In music and dance and belongs be-longs to Lambda Delta Sigma. Tlie bridegroom is a graduate gradu-ate of Cedar High School and College of Southern Utah. He has been doing graduate work at the University of Utah and belongs to the Delta Phi Kappa Kap-pa fraternity. Hg has served and LDS Mission to the South-em South-em States. I Wedding rites In the St. George Temple united Miss Carol Lee Hafen and Michael Veil Broadbent on June 13. President Rudger C. Atkin officiated of-ficiated at the double ring cremony. The bride ls the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph R. Hafen Ha-fen and the bridegroom ls the son of Dr. LeRoy Verl Broadbent. Broad-bent. Both are from Cedar City. The newlyweds were feted at a wedding reception that evening at the Seventh-Ninth Ward Cultural Hall. The bride Wore a gown she had created in a floor length sheath of material with a silk linen appearance. It featured fea-tured overlays of Venetian lace on the skirt, long sleeves and high neckline. Venetian lace also trimmed the detachable detach-able train. Her fingertip veil was of bridal illusion tulle. Completing the picture was the cresent shaped bridal bou-quet bou-quet of white ros?s and stephanotls. Maid of honor was Miss Nancy Hafen, a sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Misses Mis-ses Jane Hafen, Susie McDon-ough, McDon-ough, Dianne McDonough, Marilyn Peterson, Kay Whal-quist Whal-quist and Mrs. Reed Robinson. iliiii! mm I . They carried car-ried nosegay bouquets of yellow yel-low daisy poms and white marguerite daisies. Mr. Glen Roper was best man, and the ushers were Douglas Cox, Keith R. Hafen, and Steven R. Hafen. Mrs. Hafen wore a street-length street-length dress of light green knit, and Mrs. Broadbent's street-length dress was an ic.s green silk linen. Both dresses were accented by corsages of a cymbidium orchid and white rosebuds. Mrs. Keith R. Hafen presided pre-sided at the guest book, and young cousins Of the bridegroom, bride-groom, Miss Mary Jayne Mai-ah Mai-ah and Miss Julie Broadbent acted as gift bearers. Other close friends of the bride who helped at the gift table and helped serve were Mrs. Richard t'ohdie, Miss Na-dine Na-dine Dodge, Miss Sonya Miller, Mil-ler, Miss Tonya Birch, Miss Alene Wood, Miss Jill Buchanan, Buch-anan, and Miss Teressa Dal-ton.
