By Blair Dee Hodges news editor The Signpost After two reports of indecent exposure on campus, Weber State University campus police arrested Brian Lee, 39, in January after he was found nude in a Shepherd Union Building women's restroom. WSU Patrol Sgt. Robin Helton chased the suspect, who was apprehended near the VaJ A. Browning Center. Students who reported the incident and the quick response of the WSU police made Lee's arrest and successful prosecution possible. Though cases such as this are rare at WSU, it remains important for students and faculty to know when and how to contact campus police. As a result, the WSU Police Department made up of four administrators, two dispatchers and five fully accredited, sworn state police officers is making efforts to help students learn how to contact them and to know more about crime prevention through the "Campus Watch" program. Students can contact the WSU Police by calling 626-6460. Witnesses to a crime who wish to remain anonymous can contact the department as a "silent witness" by visiting community.weber.edu police. WSU Police Lt. Robin Helton, a WSU alumnus who has been with the WSU police for more man 10 years, wishes to emphasize the role . education plays in crime prevention.
