Once students reach campus, shuttle buses run every five minutes from 7 am. until 2 p.m. Buses run every 30 minutes after 2 p.m., ending at 11p.m. Parking on campus is another concern. According to Kelly Smith, a WSU Parking Services cashier, all "A" parking passes are sold for fall semester. Smith said that "W" passes are still available, as well as the new pass for parking at the Dee Events Center. Dee Events Center parking is no longer free. Passes cost $15 per semester or $20 for the year and are available from WSU Parking Services or the DEC ticket office. Parking passes "A" and "W" can be used to park at the DEC as well as the WSU-Davis campus. "Students don't seem to know that their passes for here are good at Davis as well," Smith said. WSU Parking Services is adding a new feature this year. According to Smith, students can download their application from the parking services page on WSU's Web site and mail payment for "W" passes. "Students still have to buy A' passes here at parking services or at the Dee Events Center ticket office," Smith said. You can reach reporter Lisa Mann by calling 626-7625. Hoslth c""nm'ii7mm p(,se'3i) Payne's only complaint about the visit to the WSU Health Center was the pharmacy was busy when she went to get her prescription, but she said the wait was not too bad. The use of the pharmacy is a service set apart for student use. In addition to helping people with immediate care and treatment, the heath center provides some preventive help. During the academic year, the health center spotlights health issues and concerns on a monthly basis. During the summer they sxnlighted two topics: Allergy awareness and skin cancer awareness. When these topics are sixitlighted, the health center places information on its Web site departments.weber.edu healthcenter about these conditions and how to care for them. The spotlights also contain links to more information. According to Larsen, the whole purpose of the center is to help the students. "If students were not here, there would be no use for us here," Larsen said. "We are here for the students." The health centers are in the Student Services Center Room 190 and at the WSU-Davis Center Room 220. The phone numbers are 626-6459 and 395-3521.
