These facilities, open to all university students, offer stationary bikes and elliptical machines as well as yoga and spinning classes. The classes are organized and sponsored by the university. Times and locations are posted in the WSU events calendar, available online, during the school year. Another perk in PT is a mini-golf room on the ground floor. Also open to all students, clubs and balls can be checked out with student I.D. for use there. The golf team uses the room for practice regularly. The cafeteria is also housed on the main floor for PT. All residents of PT and all freshmen residents of UV are required to buy a meal plan. Meal-plan money is placed on the student's account and can be spent in that cafeteria, in the Shepherd Union Building or in either of two general stores. "The food has improved a lot this year," Ridges said. She also said that changes have been made in the administration of Chartwells Dining Services, the campus food provider, so many are looking forward to better options. Coin-operated laundry facilities are also available in both UV and PT. Housing hopes to eventually install card readers on the machines so students can use their university accounts. Some minor repairs have taken place: Fire alarms have been installed in married housing and sprinklers were installed in PT in order to bring the building up to code. Much has also been done in the area of recruitment and relationship building with other departments on campus. But despite all the changes housing has made and the work done this summer, occupancy expectations have not been met. Rooms are still available in each of the three locations.
