Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mrs. Max Bonzo and daughter Patti visited in Ogden for four days with Mrs. Bonzo's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Broekmei-er. Broekmei-er. After her stay there while Max is in the National Guard camp, Mrs. Bonzo visited with his sister, Mrs. Gene Close and tarn-ily tarn-ily of Orem, LUah. Mr. and Mrs. George Strebel who have made their home in Cedar City for the past year left for New York Monday and will ; depart for Switzerland on June 21 where Mr. Strebel will teach school for six weeks this summer. sum-mer. Vacationing this month in Utah and California are former Cedar Ce-dar City residents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Haycock and three children child-ren of Lander, Wyoming. The Haycocks stopped here to visit with Mrs. Haycock's mother, Mrs. Clarence Lamoreaux and with other family members here and in Parowan. Monday they went on to California to visit with Mr. Haycock's parents. Six Cedar City couples, members mem-bers of the Elks and their wives who are auxiliary members, traveled tra-veled to Logan for a three-day Elks convention which took place 'l'nursday, Friday and Saturday. Participating in meetings and social so-cial activities in connection with the state convention were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee, Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Adams, Mr. and Mrs. James Hale, Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Magle-by, Magle-by, Mr. and Mrs. J. Vurge Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Gale Fife. One of tiie Cedar City couples were elected and installed to positions aa t.tate officers. J. V. Adams was installed as a state trustee while his wife, Mrs. Pharol Adams, was installed as a state historian. histor-ian. Arriving for a short visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Wood, was Steve Wood, who is a students at Utah State University. Univer-sity. Steve returned to Logan where he will attend summer school. Visiting In Cedar City with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Perkins last week end were Mr. and Mrs. Errold Perkins and Gerald Perkins of Nevada. |
