Show International Director To Address Cedar City Lions Club r ' " ' - VALENTINE MARVIEL Dee G. Cowan, District or Governor Gov-ernor of District 28-H, Lions International In-ternational and member of the Cedar City Lions Club, announces announc-es the annual installation of officers this month at a banquet to be held at Cedar Breaks Lodge June 229. Honored guest and featured speaker at the annual banquet will be international director of Lions Internation Valentine Mar-vlel Mar-vlel of Kailua, Hawaii. Lion V. Marciel was elected a director of Lions International at the annual convention held in Los Angeles, Calif, in July, 1965. He is a charter member and past president of the Koolaupoko and Pali Lions Clubs, has maintained perfect attendance for 25 years. Director Marciel has held every ev-ery office at club level. He was district governor in 1954-55. He holds a Master Key award. Lion Marciel is a trustee of the Hawaii Lions Eye Foundation and actively participates in the administration of the state's Boy Scout movement. Educated at the University of Hawaii, he is comptroller of the State of Hawaii. During his tenure ten-ure he master planned the Hawaii Ha-waii State capitol complex. He is now undertaking the construction construc-tion of a new state capitol building build-ing to cost more than $15 million. mil-lion. Lion Marciel and his wife Helen Hel-en Maria who have two children, Valenitine, Jr. and Kuulei, will arrive in Cedar City via Bonanza Bonan-za Ail Lines on June 29 to spend the day and evening as guests of the Cedar City Lions Club. |
