Show Richard Butler Gets Degree from Tulane University Former Cedar City residents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Butler, now of Las Vegas, have just returned from New Orleans, La. They attended at-tended the 132nd Annual Commencement Com-mencement of Tulane University Univer-sity on May 30th where their son, Richard M. Butler, was graduated grad-uated from the Tulane School of Medicine. At the 59th Annual Ivy Day Ceremonies of the Senior class, Richard received the Quer-eus-Rives Shore Award for the best thesis in Cardiology. Richard Rich-ard is a Cedar City High School Graduate, class of 1959, and received re-ceived his A. S. degree from C. S. U. in 1961. After a year at the University of Utah, he entered en-tered Tulane School of Medicine for his medical studies. He is married to the former Dorothy Ann Hicks, M. D. of Jackson, Tennessee. Both will continue their medical careers at Tobey Hospital of Pediatrics in Memphis, Mem-phis, Tenn., starting July 1st. Returning home with the Butlers But-lers was Lt. Robert B. Butler, and family, who has been stationed at Forbes Air Force Base in To-peka, To-peka, Kansas. After a short leave Lt. Btuler will report for an assignment as-signment in the Far East. His wife and two little girls will make their home in Seattle, Washington while he is overseas. |
