Show NEWS FROM PARAGONAH Mrs. Hilman Lamoreaux week with the Wilson I.uncls. , The Misses Veleria and Teresa Ter-esa Robinson returned to their home Friday after visiting here since Memorial Day with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Ches-ter Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hastings of Las Vegas arrived here Saturday for a visit with Mrs. Kha iV'noti and Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Tophani. Their son Norton Hastings anil his family of Las Vegas also visited vis-ited at the Tophani home Saturday. Satur-day. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Guymon of Layton arrived here Saturday for a short visit at the Orlo Top-ham Top-ham home. Mrs. Cynthia Hunt of Stockton was here this week end to get her children, Jeffrey, Lori Kaye, Brad, Julie and Christy, who have been visiting here since Memorial Day with their grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Lasca Hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson and grandson Craig traveled to Cedar City Monday evening for Stephen Edward's birthday celebration. cele-bration. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund and their guests, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. McGookin of Long Beach enjoyed a trip recently. They traveled to Spring Valley, Nev., to the old family ranch where the lady's father was born, and then went to Lehmans Cave before returning return-ing home. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund traveled to Meadow recently to visit with Wilson's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Duncan. They took Gayle to Fil-more Fil-more to board the bus for a trip north. Gayle met her brother in-law, Victor Smith, in Salt Lake City, and accompanied him to Lander, Wyoming to spend a month or so. Mrs. Alta Maxwell and daughter daugh-ter Helen and Mr. and Mrs. Horace Hor-ace Maxwell, all of Glendale, were here for a visit with the Wilson Lunds recently. Miss Maxwell had just returned from a mission to Old Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones enjoyed a visit from Amasa's aunt, Mrs. Clara Barton Radford and her husband of Blythe, California Cal-ifornia Saturday. Mrs. Radford was once a resident of Paragon-ah. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Smith and their three sons of Midvale were here last week visiting with Hale's mother, Mrs. Iras Jones and tatnly members. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Abbott traveled to I'rovo Thursday of last week in order for Mary to keep an appointment for dental surgery. They returned home the following day. Miss Katliy Edwards of Cedar City spent sev eral days here visiting visit-ing with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson while her cousins Valerie and Teresa I Robinson were in town. Little Lyle Barton, nine month-old month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Bar- I ton was in the hospital from Thursday to Sunday for treatment. treat-ment. Chester Robinson made a business bus-iness trip to Salt Lake City for his employers during the week. John C. Barton, age 87, was taken to the hospital Monday for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin of Sierra Madre, Calif., returned to their home Thursday of last week after a week's visit here with Mrs. Melva Barton and son J. Lowe. Mrs. Melva Barton entertained at her home recently in honor of relatives who were having birth days this month. Special honors were accorded her uncle, John C. Barton, who is 87 years old, and an aunt, Mrs. Olive Edwards, who is 85. Mrs. Violet Sweek and son Kev-en Kev-en of Salt Lake City were here for a week-end visit with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Benson and family of Orem were in this area for the weekend and spent part of their time here with the family of Mrs. Benson's sister, Mrs. Mary Abbott. Donna Abbott accompanied them back to Orem and Shawn Benson remained here to visit with the Abbott family. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Edwards of Port Hueneme, California, were here for several days visiting with Clinton's grandparents, Mr and Mrs. E. M. Edwards. The Ralph Edwards children of Cedar City spent Saturday here with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson while their parents were in Salt Lake City on business. |
