Show The "Curtain Timers" To Present Show Here The "Curtain Timers", an outstanding out-standing group of entertainers from Brigham Young University, will be in Parowan next Wednesday Wed-nesday evening to present a mu- sical and comedy entertainment. The presentation in Parowan is being sponsored by Parowan Stake with proceeds going to The show will be presented at 8 p. m. June 22 in the Third Ward Cultural Hall, according to those in charge of publicity and advertising. The show is advertised ad-vertised as a wonderful family entertainment and ticket sales will be handled by the various wards and will also be available at the door on Wednesday evening, eve-ning, $1 for adults and 50 cents for those under 12. The "Curtain Timers," could well be one of the most unique groups in show business today according to publicity sent out by those in charge. Presenting a modern-day slice of vaudeville with a freshness in vocal sound and choreography, these versatile performers present a variety of entertainment that runs the gamut ga-mut from the most serious classical clas-sical music to rollicking comedy and gayly-executed dance routines. rou-tines. The six youthful figures who make up the troupe have BYU as home base and travel from there. Three of the members have served two-year missions for the LDS Church. These three men interrupted in-terrupted their education, served their missions and have now returned to college. Another member of the group is the daughter of an Air Force colonel and has lived in all parts of the world. Two more young ladies complete the female contingent of the show and are prominent music students at the big church school. The six are Doug Curan, Norm Nielsen, Taylor MacDonald, Ka-thy Ka-thy MacDonald, Rosanne T. Nielsen Niel-sen and Jolane Laycock. |
