Show BPW Club Members Hear Reports At Annual Meeting President Catherine Crichton presided at the annual meeting of the Cedar City Business and Professional Women's Club held at Sullivan's Cafe June 8th. Miss Janet Rollo, Treasurer, gave her annual report and the committee chairmen briefly outlined the year's activities for their respec-tives respec-tives committees. Mrs. Ada Jones reported on Civic Participation, Miss Margaret Kopp on Personal Development and Mrs. Iva Jones on World Affairs Committees. Glen Brown, physiotherapist at the Valley View Medical Center Cen-ter explained the Southern Utah Foundation for Eye Research and the need for public support. Mrs. Alta Johnson served on the State Nominating Committee and Miss Karla Hulet was introduced as the new Recording Secretary of the Utah State Fedration. A bautiful musical number "Schubert's Serenade" was performed per-formed on the cello by Mrs. Kerry Jones and piano by Mrs. Douglas Knell. Six FFA members from Parowan gave an excellent demonstration dem-onstration of Parliamentary Procedure. Pro-cedure. Those participating were Harold Mitchell, Glen Robinson, Michael Hulet, Chauncey Adams, Kim Adams, and Jerald Davenport. Daven-port. Mrs. Freida Withrow has received re-ceived an appointment to the National Convention of the Business Busi-ness and Professional Women's Club, to be held at Atlanta, Georgia in July. Mrs. Candace Ewing received a "Special Award" for service rendered in the receiving and recording of reservations for each meetings for a number of years. |
