Show Boys Get Royal Treatment At Union Girls' Day Royal honor and service were bestowed on the male sex at Union High School last Friday, when the girls went all out to be courteous to the boys and make Girls' Day just what it should be. Members of the fairer sex not complyig to the rules of the day were taken before Judge John Benson for arraignment before be-fore the court. Among those accused during the day were? Mary Murphy and Janet Stevens. Ste-vens. Some of the male sex were also arrested and as a penalty, pen-alty, Duane Richens and Lowell Long were compelled to present pre-sent "Romeo and Juliette," in song. Merlin Kilpack. faculty member was also' arrested and was punished by leading the student body in the school song. Contempt of court was the violation vio-lation under which Leon Ross was apprehended. Arrangements for the clever assembly were under the direction direc-tion of Nadine Ottosen and Janice Anderton. As girls called for their dates later in the day for the "Spring Salad Swing," they presented them with cleverly designed corsages of vegetables, fruits, etc. Deemed the most artistic of the - colorful creations were those made toy Carol Jenkins and Hazel Fredrickson, who captured the prizes for the evening. eve-ning.
