Show VARIETY CLUB MEETS i The Mt. Emmons Variety Club met at the home of Mrs. Ross Berrett on Monday, April 13. Mrs. Jimmie Lewis, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, presented a book report, "Father Was An Undertaker." Those present besides the guest and hostess were Mrs. Farrell Mohlman, Mrs. Robert Lunt, Mrs. Ken LaRose, Mrs. Johnny Lambert, Mrs. Lyrad McConkie, Mrs. David Gailey, Mrs. Grant Hansen, Mrs. Wesley Thacker, Mrs. Jewel Kolb, Mrs. Max Hartman and Mrs. Eugene Hartman. Mr. and Mrs. Lyrad McConkie made a business trip to Salt Lake on Thursday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Fieldsted spent Sunday afternoon visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Mecham. Cloyd Powell was home for the weekend to visit with his family. He works in Wyoming for an oil company during the week. Mr. and Mrs. LaFarge Dastrup are visiting with their son, Neil, in San Diego Calif. Their visit will be for about two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dastrup and Lorraine are taking care of their place of business during dur-ing their absence. Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Rust and family visited in Mt. Home on Friday with Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Mecham. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen have left Mt. Emmons for a while. Mr. Hansen intends to seek work in Colorado: Mrs. I Hansen will stay with her folks in Arcadia until her husband finds work. The World Affairs Discussion group met on Wednesday night at the high school. The subject was Japan. Farrell Mohlman was group discussion leader. The next meeting will be Iran. Kindergarten began on Mon-: Mon-: day at Altamont with between 30 and 40 children attending. It will be held for a half day, and Mrs. Leon Burton will be the teacher. |
