Show UTC students to graduate in rites tonight Utah Technical College at Provo and the Utah State Board for Vocational Education will present degrees and certificates certif-icates to 170 graduating students stu-dents at Provo Tabernacle tonight to-night at 8 p.m., announcei pies-ident pies-ident Wilson W. Sorensen. The procession march will begin be-gin at 8 p.m. with graduates taking their places by department. depart-ment. President Sorensen will preside pre-side over the exercises at which Dr. Garth Mangum, University of Utah professor, will give the commencement address. Associate in appded science degrees will be awarded to 80 two-year graduates in cap and gown ceremonies. Graduates receiving certificates certifi-cates of completion 'or one and two years of study number 64 in 13 different departments. Special programs in drivers education, fireman training, Signetics training, power sewing sew-ing and prison programs account ac-count for 1763 students who have completed short term courses. Prior to graduation the President's Pres-ident's Reception will be held in the Provo Tabernacle for graduates, families and friends. Utah Technical College holds two graduations a year, in June and August. Receiving certificates and degrees from the college from here are the following students: Auto mechanics, Keith H. Brown; building construction, Frank G. Weight; business department, de-partment, Terri Kovatch; Mary M. Peay, Patricia Peterson. Kathleen Zobell; commercial art, Gary Lee Beardall. Drafting and design, Bryan Jacobson; electrical and automation auto-mation technology, Eric Hal-verson, Hal-verson, Gary O. Johnston and Jack Mitchell; instrument repair, re-pair, Neil D. Hone; machine department, de-partment, Larry Averett; refrigeration, re-frigeration, David R. Henrie. |
