Show Cultural Arts Club installs officers Retiring officers party of the Cultural Arts Club was held recently at the home of Mrs. LaVern Larsen with Dorothy Dor-othy Christensen as co-hostess. A lovely luncheon was served ser-ved before the business part of the program. President Louise Clyde installed the new officers for the coming year: President, Lois J. Child; vice-president, vice-president, Leah Crandall; program pro-gram chairman, Helen Wright; sec. and treas., LaVern Larsen; reporter, Pat Whiting. The new officers presented the retiring officers with cook books of various types. A summer party will be announced later for the club in the month of June. Mr. and Mrs. Aldous Weight and family of Brigham City were overnight guests at the canyon home of Miss Naomi Weight at Kelly's Grove and spent Memorial Day in Springville. Spring-ville. Mr. a,nd Mrs. Thomas H. Kohler have had as their house guests the past week, Mrs. Otto Ot-to C. Kohler of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She flew here to see her son graduate from the BYU also to get acquainted with a new grandson, Curtis Michale Kohler. Mr. and Mrs. Carrel Waters returned Tuesday from a few days visit in Denver, Colorado where theiy were house guests of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Corey Co-rey and family. They also called at the Fitzsimmons hospital where a nephew, Larry Weight is recuperating from recent surgery on his ear. He will undergo un-dergo further surgery on his stump the latter part of the month. Faye Oldroyd, who with a brother-in-law, Leon Oldroyd of Orem, enjoyed a ten day visit vi-sit with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. G. Lee Measom and family at Houston, Texas. She returned earlier this week. |
