Show Win. "Bill" Dunoan William Duncan heads state peace officers William T. Duncan, Springville, Spring-ville, and trooper with the Utah Highway Patrol, has been elected elec-ted and installed president of the Utah Peace Officers Association. As-sociation. He succeeds Ken Hammon, Davis County Sheriff. Elections were held during the weekend at the association's associa-tion's annual convention in Moab. A keynote speaker of the first general session was Governor Calvin L. Rampton. Speaker of the men's luncheon was Haven Barlow, president of the Utah State Senate. Other speakers at the three-day three-day meet included Utah Attorney At-torney General Vernon Romney and Allan Cockett, Utah Supreme Su-preme Court Justice. Pistol shoots, a barbecue, tours and sightseeing were all part of the convention program. A number of other officers were elected and directors named nam-ed at the convention. Mr. Duncan Dun-can is the son of Mrs. Richard Conover of this city, and has been an outstanding law officer of-ficer of the state. |
