Show I uu HAEG CONTINUES MING BLOWS LONDON, Aug. 25 Field Marshal Haig today continued his attacks against the Germans north of the river Somme. Contalmaison, three andl three-quarter miles northeast of Albert, Al-bert, and Warlencourt-Kaucourt on the Albert-Bapaumo road, three miles southwest of Bapaume, have been captured cap-tured by the British, according to the official statement issued today by the war office. BRITISH FRONT IN FRANCE, Aug. 25. (Havas agency.) Forty-two German Ger-man divisions have suffered considerable consider-able losses in the present drive, losing los-ing 40,000 soldiers, including several hundred officers, in prisoners alone. The capturo of one officer and four gunners of an Austrian battery confirms con-firms the presence of Austro-Hungari-an artillery on the western front. Bapaume itself must fall shortly.
