Show LENINE-TROTZKY ' STORYDENIED Russians Told That EntentJ Troops Landed in North Russia Are Brigands. ARCHANGEL, Thursdav, Aug. 22. (By the Associated Press.) An official offi-cial announcement issued today by the allied governments in the northern region re-gion of Russia denied the statement recently made by Lenlne and Trotzkv that Great Britain, France and the United States wore enemies of Russia. Rus-sia. The allied military action, the announcement added, was aimed at the expulsion of tho Germans from Russian territory and tho suppression of arms of iho Brest-Lltovsk treaty. Tho statement follows: "Lenine and. Trotzky declare that that British, French and Americans who disembarked at Archangel are brigands and they call upon the Russian Rus-sian proletariat to fight against them as enemies of Russia who attacked her without a declaration of war. "We declare to all Russian citizens for whom the welfare, of Russia is dear that this Is not true. The British, Brit-ish, French and Americans at Archangel Arch-angel arc the allies of Russia. They were Invited to make a landing here" by the legitimate government and with the completo and unanimous agreement agree-ment on the part of tho population. "The government of the northern region is composed ol members of; the constituent assembly which, was) elected by the whole population of the northern border district. It comprises also representatives of tho Zemstovs' and municipalities elected by universal univer-sal suffrage. This government has been formed and was overturned by tho illegitimate Bolshevik government before the descent of th allies. It was formed on the initiative of the League for tho Regeneration of Russia, which unites representatives of all political pa,rtios, recognizing the constituent con-stituent assembly as the only rightful Russian governmenl.
