Show Poland Remains a Factor in the War as Her Navy Battles On Two Polish destroyers, left, the "Grom" and "Blyskawica," (Thunder and Lightning) which escaped the German blockade, block-ade, were photographed at anchor somewhere in England, their guns ready for action. Though the Polish state has been absorbed by Russia and Germany, Poland still fights on, these two destroyers having become part of the British navy. The Polish gunner, center, aboard the Polish destroyer "Blyskawica" "Blyska-wica" mans an antiaircraft rifle as the warship lies at anchor in a British naval base somewhere off the east coast of England. Eng-land. Both of the Polish warships already have been in action against German aircraft, having emerged unscathed from the engagements. Gunners aboard the "Grom," right. are loading her 4.7-inch guns, making ready for action. Thus Poland remains a factor in the European war, battling against her conqueror, although her lands are gone, people taken prisoner, pris-oner, and home ports are closed to her own warships. These photographs of the modern ships were passed by the British censors. - . . . . - P.iWii iwmiaii ay iJuialMi III! Il I ! I I r wOiglbi lilted-; I r .
