Show DROUTH AFFECTING FARMS AND RANGES The serious effects of lack of moisture in Utah were emphasized Wednesday In the weekly report of crop and livestock conditions by the weather bureau. Fall grain, pastures and ranges are suffering from the accumulated effects of dry weeks, the report stated, and some grain must be replanted. Plowing Is going on only In Irrigated Irri-gated lands, other soil being too dry. 1 Livestock Is In a fair condition, with little feeding necessary because be-cause of the open season. Water for livestock, however, showed a serious shortage last week, especially for sheep on desert des-ert ranges. Some sheep are being trailed long distances to water, while in other cases water Is being transported by tanks to flocks. In Utah county, some land Is being Irrigated preparatory to plowing. |
