The HI-LAND Dairymen's Association represents a group of dairy farmers owning approximately 1000 dairy cows; their farms are in the high mountain valley, east of Salt Lake City. For a long time as dairy farmers we have been handicapped han-dicapped by the fact that only a small portion of our milk production could be marketed as sweet milk. At the same time, the per capita milk consumption in Salt Lake City is far below what it should be on the basis of national averages for other cities, and for the health and welfare of the consuming public An analysis convinced us that the problem of increasing in-creasing consumption is primarily one of price, as it has been the experience of other American cities that consumption increases as the price declines. With this end in view, we are happy to take this opportunity to introduce in Salt Lake City highest quality Grade A milk, produced on our farms, pack, aged in our own plant, and distributed to you through your grocer at nine cents per quart. This price of nine cents per quart is not to be misconstrued as a price cutting gesture to introduce our product, but is a part of a permanent policy which is economically sound In principle and practice, through efficient streamlined distribution. There is also a definite economy in distribution through your grocer. Under our program he receive, hi. normal profit and you get the saving. - You are cordially invited to try our product, visit our farms and inspect our plant.
