Show Taft Proposes Survey To Cut Federal Budget BOSTON, Dec. 13 (UP) U. S. Senator Robert A. Taft (R, Ohio) today proposed a study of government govern-ment by "a group of practical business busi-ness men and administrators" and predicted that this would show means of cutting the federal budget 25 to 30 per cent. Taft, an aspirant for the 1940 Republican presidential nomination, nomina-tion, told the Women's Republican club of Massachusetts that from such a study "a complete plan of government can be made" to eliminate elimi-nate the "bureaucratic confusion" and "duplication" of the new deal. |
