Show BRITISH PLANES FLY OVER NAZIS' BASES LONDON, Dec. 13 UPt British warplanes, trying a new method to head' off German mine-laying planes, were officially reported today to-day to have made preventive flights last night over four of the reirh's main North sea bases. The air ministry announced aerial "security patrols" were "carried "car-ried out over the seaplane bases at the Islands of Sylt, Borkum and Norderney," in addition to Helgoland, Helgo-land, Germany's island fortress. The patrols were designed "to Interrupt activities of mine-laying aircraft," the ministry said. |
