Show DATES FOR SCOUT CAMPOREE SET IN DUCHESNE AREA May 4 - and 5 have been set as the dates for the 1956 Duchesne District Camporee, to be held at the Duchesne City Airport, announces an-nounces Ray Horrocks, District Camping and Activities chairman. A campfire program, beginning at 8 p.m., will include the monthly month-ly Duchesne District Court of Honor Hon-or and will be open to parents and friends of Scouting. On Saturday morning the boys will compete in scoutcraft activities activi-ties including signaling, tower building, morse code' signaling, fire-making (friction or flint and steel), bread making, and first aid. Details are being mailed this week to unit leaders, continued Scouter Horrocks. Last year 75 of the' registered Scouts and Explorers of the Duchesne Du-chesne Scout District participated in the 1955 Camporee. Units participating par-ticipating last year included: Arcadia, Ar-cadia, Troop 259; Duchesne, Troop 268; Duchesne, Post 2268; Hanna, Troop 265; Tabiona, Troop 263; Tabiona, Post 2263;. and Strawberry, Straw-berry, Troop 246. |
