Show Impressive Double Ring Rites Unite Young Coupleln Matrimony MYTON (Special) A beautiful beauti-ful double-ring wedding ceremony united Miss Gwe'n Holgate and Howard Funk, Thursday at 2 p.m. when they recited their marriage vows in the presence of members of their immediate families and a few close friends at the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. George Funk. President A. Hale Holgate, uncle' of the bride, officiated. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate. The attendants at-tendants were Miss Nona Lee Holgate, Hol-gate, sister of the bride, and' Miss Joni Funk, sister of the groom. She' is a student at Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant. The bride was lovely in a pale -pink nylon dress, ballerina length, with dropped waist line and full skirt, accented by a matching flower flow-er hat. Her corsage' was of orchids. Her attendants wore dresses of pastel, pink and blue of ballerina length and each wore a corsage of pink rose buds and white carnations. Merlin Reynolds assumed best man duties. The bride's mother wore an afternoon af-ternoon dress of navy blue silk while the mother of the groom wore a navy blue suit and each had a corsage of red rose' buds. A bower of pink and white bells held by white satin ribbons and flanked by candleabra holding white tapers formed a background for the wedding ceremony. A vocal trio composed of Miss Joni Funk, Cecil Jenkins and Merlin Mer-lin Reynolds, sang "I Love You Truly" prior to the ceremony. Mrs.Fred Todd and Mrs. LaVor Dennie were in charge of serving the refreshments. The' young couple left' in the afternoon for Las Vegas, Nevada and Boulder City on a short honeymoon, hon-eymoon, returning Monday morning. morn-ing. They will make their home here, as Mr. Funk is employed by the Linck Trucking Co The bride' is a graduate of Union High School, class of 1955' and the groom graduated from Wasatch Was-atch Academy and - attended the USAC one year. |
