Show Sixty-Years Of Married Life To Be Observed By Former Roosevelt Couple Mr. and Mrs. Orman Wilkins of Washington, Utah will mark their 60th wedding anniversary March 25. They are planning a program and dance to be held in the Washington Wash-ington ward recreation hall on Saturday evening, March 24 at 8 o'clock, at which time all their friends and relatives are invited to come. They have requested no gifts be given. Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins were' married mar-ried in the St. George LDS Temple Tem-ple March 25', 1896 by David H. Cannon. They have made their home in Washington except for 16 years when they lived at Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, Utah, from 1918 to 1934. Born at Pahrea, Kane County, Utah, July 6, 1875, Mr. Wilkins was a son of James O. and Army Caroline Mangum Wilkins, who came with the first settlers to southern Utah to grow cotton for the Dixie Cotton Mission. Mrs. Wilkins (Margaret Delora Weaver) was born December 22, 1877, at Mid'dleton, Washington County, Utah, a daughter of William Wil-liam and Delora Earl Weaver, who were also early Dixie pioneers. In their younger days, both Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins were active in civic and LDS church work, Mr. Wilkins in Sunday School and MIA and Mrs. Wilkins being an ardent Relief Society worker. They are v the parents of ten children, eight of whom are living. They are Mrs, T. A. Sullivan ofj Roosevelt, Lamond and Orson A. I Wilkins of Salt Lake City, m Frank Kershaw, Carl and Lee Vin kins all of California, Mrs. s v Michell and Mrs. Neal Lundben r St. George, Utah. They have or grandchildren and forty-one n , grandchildren. 6 eat- Their recipe for longevity and successful marriage is hard work clean living, and having i0Ve each other and their family. 0r Attending from Roosevelt will h Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan and thei sons, Merlin and Orman and fam ilies.
