Show Uintah Bank Joins With First Security System Uintah State Bank of Vernal, Utah, largest bank in the Uintah Basin, has joined the First Security Bank system, it was announced late Wednesday by George S. Ec-cles, Ec-cles, president, First . Secprity Corporation and First Security Bank of Utah, N.A. Mr. Eccle's said that J. A. Cheney Chen-ey will remain as executive officer of the Uintah State Bank. Other bank officers will also continue. Thev are Harold R. Sargent, vice president; Vard L. Openshaw, cashier;, Archie Johnson, assistant cashier; and Martin W. Curtis, assistant as-sistant cashier. The Uintah acquisition brings First Security's total banking officers of-ficers to 66 in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming, including the recently acquired eight branches of The Commercial' Bank of Utah. The number also includes six banking offices operated at intermountain military installations at the request re-quest of the U S. government. Total To-tal First Security resources, including includ-ing those of The Commercial Bank of Utah, were $462,184,031.80 on January 1. Resources of Uintah State' Bank were $5,383,364.71 on January 1st. Under terms of the acquisition, approved by holders of more than 85 per cent of the Uintah Bank's stock, stockholders will receive 5y2 shares of First Security Corporation Cor-poration stock for one share of Uintah State Bank Stock. |
