Show LADIES ENTERTAINED BY THE MEN'S CLUB The Men's club of the First Congregational Congrega-tional church royally entertained the ladles of the church last evening with musio and good cheer. Two hundred and sixteen persons sat down to the banquet tables, and each of them ei joyed the evening immensely. Delightful Delight-ful music was furnished by the Harrison Harri-son vocal quartette and the Nlles mandolin man-dolin quartette. J. B. Evans as toastmaster proposed "Our Guests," and C. E. Allen responded. respond-ed. Mrs. C. E, Allen replied for the guests in a few well-chosen words. F. B. Stephens spoke of the work and growth of the club, and M. A. Daugher-ty Daugher-ty and S. B. Tuttle sooke entertainingly. entertain-ingly. . The enjoyable evening was closed by an address by the Rev. Dr. Brown and the singing of "America" by the whole company. |
