Show MAYORS "POODLED" IN BOWLING TOURNEY National Event at Indianapolis Is Opened by Two Municipal Executives. INDIANAPOLIS. Feb. 24. The fourth annual national bowling tournament opened at Tomllnson hall last night. At 8 o'clock a gong sounded and Mayor Bookwalter walked to the head of the alleys. In company with Mayor Rose of Milwaukee. Short addresses were made by both, after ' which Mayor Bookwalter called the names of the men who were to roll the first balls down the alleys. - Tbe gong was sounded sound-ed and down the aileys rolled the ten balls. A' shout went up when the balls of Mayor Bookwalter, Mayor Rose and Thomas -: Curtiss poodled. Secretary Karpff made the record, with nine pins down. The five-men teams bowled . tonight three games each. The Tlshimingoes of Indianapolis were high pins, with 2777. Following are the totals of each team for the three games: North Side Turners.
