Fire early ear-ly today .destroyed the main building and laundry of the Mississippi female college ; and three dwelling-houses. There were 200 girls In the buildings, all of whom escaped. LOUIS, Feb. 24. The car sheds and ' sixty-seven street cars of the St.. Louis & Suburban Railway company, com-pany, at De Hodlamont, were destroyed by fire this morning, entailing a loss estimated at nearly $200,000. The origin of the fire is -not known, but it is sup-. sup-. poeed to have started from an electric wire. The entire works of the Schultae plant of theAmer-' theAmer-' lean Bridge company, a part of the United States Steel corporation, at Mc-Kee'e Mc-Kee'e Rocks, near here, was totally destroyed de-stroyed by fire early today, entailing a loss of $200,000.. The plant was composed of four buildings, the largest known as the fitting fit-ting and riveting department, being 250 feet long. .The fire started In the pattern pat-tern department and its origin Is unknown. un-known.
