MOUNTAIN Bell recently donated the telephone sets from equipment that is no longer in use. But George plans to use every wire and screw in a mock assembly line designed to teach production techniques to mentally handicapped adults. Mrs. Christine Mulderig, presents 25 Mountain Bell telephones to Bob George (center) and Bob Daniels (right) director of the Davis County Development Center. The obsolete sets will be used for taining purposes. The donation was coordinated coor-dinated through the Bonneville Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America - an association of long-term and retired Bell employees. MRS. Christine Mulderig, secretary-treasurer of the group, was there for the presentation. "We're pleased that we can assist non-profit educational Institutions by providing equipment that is useful in the training process," Mrs. Mulderig commented. "I'm sure many skills can be learned in disassembling and reassembling the phones." THE Development Center has two goals, according to Director Bob Daniels. "We try to provide vocational, personal and social training to handicapped adults so that they can gain the skills required to function as productive members of the community. As we provide sheltered employment to those Individuals whose productivity impairs competitive compe-titive job placement," he added. ad-ded.
