Show Golden Years Events Volunteers of the Golden Years Center were honored at a recognition banquet on Thursday evening at the Davis High School. "COPING With Problems of Aging" is an important series of meetings for all senior citizens, under the direction of the board of directors of the Davis County Counsel on Aging which considers con-siders problems of many of the older people. The first of four seminars was held on Thursday, the next one will be April 6 at 1 p.m. at the Golden Years Center, the topic is "Relaxing Techniques." THE mini-conference was a successful event held March 23 in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. This Governor's Conference was attended by 80 people from the Davis County area. Important issues which were discussed at this conference will be taken to Governor Matheson for further discussion and consideration con-sideration at the Governor's Conference to be held at the Salt Palace on May 9, for all citizens of the state. THERE should be many more senior citizens in attendance atten-dance at this important conference. This will be called the "Heritage Art Fes- tival" and all will be urged to take two articles of handcrafts made at the centers or at home, to be exhibited at this conference. More details will be given, or call the Center, 295-3479 for more information on this important im-portant meeting. Everyone should begin preparation for the bazaar to be held at the Golden Years Center on Saturday, May 6. ANYONE who would like to display or sell any of their handcrafted articles should begin to make plans for this bazaar. Those who wish a table ta-ble for displaying, should contact the Center and sign up. There are many interesting classes and programs at the Golden Years Center and anyone who has not been in to visit this facility should stop in to enjoy some of the activities activi-ties and programs.
