Show Small business confab featuring Lt., Governor to begin September 28 will consist of workshops, a hearing conducted by Lieutenant Governor Oveson, and a reception for confer-ence confer-ence participants. Information booths will be open at noon and the meetings will begin at 1 p.m. The receptions will start at 5:30 p.m. Lieutenant Governor Oveson, a CPA and former state auditor, feels the concerns of small businesses need to be a top priority of the administration and the legislature. He feels the recommendations from small businessmen will be invaluable in-valuable in proposing progressive legislation to foster small business development in the state. W. Val Oveson, Lieutenant Governor Gov-ernor of Utah, has announced he will hold a series of nine Small Business Busi-ness Development Conferences to inform Utah's small business community com-munity about proposed administration administra-tion policy and to provide a forum for the discussion of small business concerns. The conferences will begin Sept. 28 in Richfield and end in Salt Lake City on Nov. 11. These conferences confer-ences will be held in conjunction with local Chambers of Commerce, the Utah Department of Community Commun-ity and Economic Development, and the federal Small Business Administration. The recommendations resulting from these conferences will be used to enact legislation promoting small business development and to provide pro-vide ideas for the formulation of state policy. The conferences will be held in the following cities: Richfield, Logan, Cedar City, St. George, Provo, Monticello, Vernal, Ogden, and Salt Lake City. The agenda for the conferences |
