Show PERC workshop to begin soon Most parents recognize a need to help their children with academics at home, but many have no real idea of what approaches will be most effective in providing this help. A four session workshop entitled "Precision Teaching A Tool for Parents" will be presented by the Parent Education Resource Center. Cen-ter. It will teach parents skills with which they can help their students acquire a system for developing effective study skills. This is a "how to" class which will involve specific examples of the techniques techni-ques used. Mary Memmot, a classroom teacher who has used precision teaching' approaches successfully in the classroom and who has taught parents to use them effectively effec-tively at home, will be the instructor. in-structor. The class will be presented at the Monte Vista Center, 100 S. 200 E., Farmington beginning Sept. 30. The time is 7 p.m. A registration fee of $12 per person and $18 per couple will be required.
